San Antonio Concrete Staining

Project planning guide

Stained Concrete Care

Keep the finish looking its best with care suited to the stain and sealer. Ask for the product-specific cleaning and maintenance instructions at handoff.

Care instructions should come from the installed stain and sealer system. Keep the product names so future cleaning or recoating is compatible with what is already there.

Before the first use

Obtain written timing for foot traffic, furniture, rugs, water exposure, and vehicles where applicable. Dry to the touch does not establish full service readiness. Avoid changing the schedule based only on the air temperature.

Routine cleaning

Use approved cleaning products and tools. Remove abrasive dirt and investigate recurring wet or oily areas. Ask the installer about mats, furniture feet, and cleaning equipment that may affect the sealer.

When appearance changes

Photograph whitening, peeling, dark areas, or wear and note recent cleaning or water exposure. Do not automatically coat over the problem. A provider should identify the cause and compatibility before restoration.

Before resealing

Review sealer selection factors and the existing product record. Ask for a test area and an explanation of any removal needed. Recoating intervals depend on the system, exposure, and wear; use condition and product guidance rather than a blanket annual promise.
